Annual Reports

Care About Climate brought one of the world's largest youth delegations to the United Nations Climate Negotiations (COP27), empowered young leaders to take action on youth inclusion in climate policy, and provided essential climate education to young leaders. Our efforts supported transformative outcomes at the UN Climate Negotiations, including the first ever recognition of young people as stakeholders in climate decision-making and implementation, setting the stage to expand our reach far into the future.

2021-2022 Annual Report

Care About Climate launched a new program focused on Gender and Climate Justice, EmpoderaClima (Empower for Climate). Online Youth Exchange began to transform into ClimAcademy. Our impact on the United Nations Climate Negotiations grew substantially.

2018-2019 Annual Report

Care About Climate was accredited with the UNFCCC, merged with ClimateSign.org, Launched #SignTheAgreement Climate Sign Campaign, and created the Climate Ambassador Program!

2022-2023 Annual Report

Care About Climate transformed our UN Engagement work into Climate Accountability and Advocacy in Policy (CAAP). With the pandemic, youth from around the world flocked to the organization in order to help mobilize for climate action remotely. EmpoderaClima turned two and built its own database as well as added a fourth language, French. ClimAcademy had their first cohort complete their adapted courses. Finally, we had our first pitch day for ClimAcademy students to launch their projects as Climate Ambassadors.

2019-2020 Annual Report

Care About Climate joined the Powershift Network and US Climate Action Network. We also were a key partner in organizing the Zero Hour Youth Climate March in Washington DC!

Care About Climate brought our largest ever delegation to the United Nations Climate Negotiations (COP28) and to the Regional Climate Weeks for the first time-ever! We empowered over 5,000 young leaders to take action on youth inclusion in climate policy, increased analysis of national climate commitments to 80 countries, provided essential climate education to young leaders, and reached over 850,000 people through social media. Our efforts supported transformative outcomes at the UN Climate Negotiations, including the recognition of the need to reduce global reliance on fossil fuels!

2015-2016 Annual Report

Care About Climate completed an educational tour prior to the Paris Climate Negotiations- Road Trip to Paris. The year ended with our founder attending the negotiations for the Paris Agreement at COP 21!

Care About Climate was founded! The Climate Symbol was created, we started to connect to international partners, and debuted the Climate Symbol at the People’s Climate March in New York.
