ClimAcademy Envoy Relations

Hours: 2-5 hours/week, remote

Description: Care About Climate is seeking a motivated volunteer to support our ClimAcademy program with Envoy Relations. The volunteer would support our ClimAcademy program participant retention and well-being. 

Responsibilities for the ClimAcademy Envoy Relations volunteer would include tracking metrics of success using Google Sheets and Salesforce, writing a monthly newsletter, facilitating an alumni network, and sending outreach emails to program participants (Climate Envoys).

  • Quality control

  • Annual reporting and metrics

  • Monthly blog post

  • Envoy relations 

  • Provide consistent and supportive feedback to envoys

  • Convey feedback from envoys to team members

  • Facilitate discussion boards in Welcome courses

The Envoy Relations volunteer would commit to 2-3 internal calls a month, including monthly team calls, an organization-wide call, and check-in calls with team members. 

Suggested Skills and Experience:

  • Good Listener

  • Storytelling

  • Working with an international team

  • Foreign language fluency is a plus: particularly Spanish, French, Arabic or Mandarin. 

  • Applicants who are able to commit to a 1 year term or longer will be given preference.

  • Moodle and Google Classroom

  • Salesforce

  • Mailchimp

  • Canva

  • GSuite (Meetings, Drive/Docs/Sheets, Drawings, etc)

Note: This is currently an unpaid position, though we are happy to work with you if you’d like the role to meet any school internship or volunteer requirements. Although we aim to hire and stipend more people in the future, a majority of the Care About Climate team consists of volunteers.
