Bulou Suguta (she/her)
Bulou Suguta (she/her) is a native Fijian I-Taukei from the Island of Fiji. Bulou is a final year undergraduate student at the University of the South Pacific studying Bachelors of Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance. Currently, she is a member of the U.S Embassy Youth Council which is a wonderful platform that empowers emerging young voices within 5 countries such as Fiji, Tonga, Kiribati, Tuvalu and Nauru, for which she is part of their Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Team and takes an active role of engaging and assisting in organizing their youth-led activities. Bulou previously served as the member of Youth and Students for Peace Fiji, she took part in the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP) S!NERGY competition in 2020 representing the Oceania Region and given an opportunity to present her Peace Designer Project that addresses Mental Health awareness through youth-led engagement initiatives in the Grassroot communities. She previously volunteered as a Radio Announcer at Radio Pacifik which is the Official Radio station of the University of the South Pacific. She is passionate about family genealogy, mental health awareness, human psychology, sustainable economic policy advising and literary writing. She wishes to further her studies in sustainable finance, climate change risk, sustainable economic policy analysis and actuarial studies. She loves animals and spends most of her free time writing Quotes and Poetry.
