Abigail Li (she/her)
Abigail Li is Singaporean-American high school student at Hunter College High School in New York City. She has volunteered with Care About Climate for five years. Prior to working at Care About Climate, she worked for the New York City based nonprofit Changing the Present.
As an American who grew up in Singapore and Taiwan, she is dedicated to learning about climate initiatives in both Asia and the United States, and hopes to mobilize communities across the world. Abigail first became interested in environmental activism during her time in Singapore, where she noticed that the Singaporean government was able to effectively utilize innovative technology to tackle pressing environmental issues. She became curious about the government’s role in sustainable development and innovative R&D for sustainable solutions. She is interested in going into the fields of public policy, political science, and economics in the future.
At Care About Climate, Abigail has focused on increasing youth engagement in the climate movement and has worked on projects to increase awareness in young adults on the significance of ESG investing. She also manages the Care About Climate website.
