Climate Action Tracker

The Climate Action Tracker (CAT) is an independent scientific analysis produced by two research organisations tracking climate action since 2009. They track progress towards the globally agreed aim of holding warming well below 2°C, and pursuing efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C.

NDC Registry

NDCs are submitted every five years to the UNFCCC. The next round of NDCs (new or updated) are being submitted by 2020.

NDCs are recorded in the publicly available NDC Registry. With COP cancelled this year due to COVID-19, it is all the more imperative that the public be aware of their countries planned contributions to decreasing their negative impact on the climate.

Currently, NDCs that have been communicated are registered and available in the interim NDC registry.

Enhanced NDCs were due in 2020

The U.S. will release its new NDC April 22, 2021
