Meet the Care About Climate COP 26 Delegation

Care About Climate is proud to send a group of young people from all over the world to COP26 this year. During the COP we will be championing Action for Climate Empowerment, gender considerations for climate action, financing and addressing Loss and Damage, strong Climate Finance with an emphasis on adaptation, and being ambitious enough for the world to stay below 1.5 degrees Celsius warming on average.

Natalie Lucas

Natalie Lucas is the Executive Director of Care About Climate. Natalie is from the US and has attended five COPs. She is serving as the USCAN Liaison this year on behalf of CAC and is pushing the US administration to be strong on climate action.

Alvaro Alfaro Morales

Alvaro is from Chile, and he organized the Conference of Youth 15 in 2019 with other colleagues. He is a Master's student of International Relations at Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaiso, and is studying the Paris Agreement and how the Escazu Agreement are related.

Opeyemi Elujulo

Opeyemi is from Nigeria and is one of CAC's Climate Ambassador Mentors. He is an environmental consultant and educator, working to activate young people across Africa for climate action. He is particularly interested in nature based solutions, with a special focus on agorecology.

Hossam Emam

Hossam is from Egypt, and has been working with the Arab Youth Climate Movement for several years. He is currently a Mentor and Administrator for our Climate Ambassador Program.

Hailey Campbell

Hailey is our Climate Ambassador Program Director and is from the US. She is a recent graduate with her Masters in Sustainability Solutions, and is currently serving in Americorp for Honolulu to develop climate adaptation planning for the city.

Renata Koch Alvarenga

Renata is the Program Director for EmpoderaClima, or gender and climate program. Originally from Brazil, Renata is now currently based in the US and is a Master's Candidate for Public Administration at Harvard.

Ruth Hollands

Ruth is from the US and is a sustainability writer for a variety of clients. She is a researcher with EmpoderaClima, and writes on intersectional issues.

Annabel Rice

Annabel is a volunteer with our Climate Accountability and Advocacy in Policy Program. She is from the UK and has written an analysis of the UK's Nationally Determined Contribution for Care About Climate. For her day job she supports the Divest/Invest forum for C40.

Cloé Durieux

Cloé is from France and is a researcher for EmpoderaClima. She works in the fashion industry and is passionate about the intersection of fashion and sustainability. She wants to transform this industry and others.

Qiyamud Din

Qiyamud is from Afghanistan, but is currently studying for his Master's in Germany. He serves as a Climate Ambassador Mentor, and has been a strong climate advocate internationally.
