EmpoderaClima is an education platform about the intersection of climate and gender with four languages. It was created to raise awareness of the disproportionate impacts to climate change that girls and women face in the Global South, and to highlight the need for women's leadership in climate action. With content in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, EmpoderaClima serves as a resource about gender and climate to students, researchers, activists and passionate youth in the developing world - who usually do not have access to materials about climate justice in their native languages.

With the creation of Care About Climate’s new website, the program has now become its own platform! We are excited to now offer an experience that allows users to access content entirely in their native language. New features include a database in each language, access to the new EmpoderaClima newsletter, meet (or join) our team, submit your own work, and check out our past webinars about women’s empowerment for climate action!⁣ More features will be coming soon!

Congratulations to the EmpoderaClima team on their new platform! Special thanks to the following volunteers who made the new website possible: Renata Alvarenga (Director of EmpoderaClima), Martha Benduski (Website Design/Developer), Pedro Godoi (Graphic Design), Shannon Greene (Researcher), Vitória Wanner (Communications).
