Celebrating our first ClimAcademy Cohort Graduation with Pitch Day!

The Climate Ambassadors and ClimAcademy teams are excited to be hosting Care About Climate’s first ever Pitch Day on January 31st, 2021! This event will feature graduates of ClimAcademy Course 3: Empowering [YOU]th to Local Action who will be presenting their climate action project plans created during the course for a chance to win a $100 mini-grant. Please consider donating to allow us to fund more $100 mini-grants to our graduates!

In addition to pitching their projects, graduates will be promoted to Ambassadors! Each Ambassador will be paired with a regional mentor to serve as their consultant, counsel, and cheerleader. In this way, Climate Ambassadors offers youth funding and capacity-building opportunities that often stifle youth action, empowering youth to create long-lasting change, address the climate crises, and unite community members for climate action.

Our team believes that there is no better way to bring people together than by solving a problem together. We are bringing young people from different backgrounds, communities, and countries together to share solutions they will implement in their communities to address systemic inequities and the climate crisis. As a result, it is our hope to foster inclusive, collaborative climate action for a sustainable future, together.

Are you seeking support in developing a climate action project in your community? Or, do you want to learn how you can sponsor a climate action project? If you answered yes to either of these questions, email Climate Ambassador Program Director, Hailey Campbell, at hailey@careaboutclimate.org to find out how you can get involved today! For more immediate impact and to support additional grants for youth, please consider donating to our Pitch Day.
